About Mimi G. - My Background, Experience and Other Fun Facts

My Story… in case you missed the post on Instagram I wanted to post a little introduction here.  This is a little bit more about me than you may already know from reading our About Us section…
.
My name is Mimi Guidry. Through Angelina Belle Boutique, my main focus is offering simple, affordable and comfortable solutions to the most common style challenges that women struggle with when getting dressed.
.
On My Instagram Stories, I also share my favorite recommendations on workouts and healthy eating from a real-life momma who hates to work out but loves martinis, wine, ice cream, Mexican food… you get the idea!! 💪🏻🍸🍷🍦🌮.
.
I’m formerly a CPA, but early in my career I decided that I wanted to work for myself at something that was more creative and well, “fun”. After leaving my Accounting job, I owned a salon & boutique, specializing in swim and resort wear as well as sunless/indoor tanning. THAT was fun, until Hurricane Katrina happened in 2005. 😠
.
I’m certified as a Fashion Consultant by the Fashion Image Institute. After Hurricane Katrina destroyed my store, I worked in cosmetics sales, and also did some personal shopping and wardrobe styling. Here, I helped clients select the right outfit for special occasions, business functions, and employment search/promotions and lifestyle changes.  Get help selecting your best style.
.
Recently I’ve devoted my time to being a creative entrepreneur through blogging and e-commerce.
In 2018, I founded Angelina Belle, an online boutique for moms who want to stay stylish. Now, this is where I spend most of my time.
.
For every boutique order, we donate $1.00 to Reece's Rainbow to support special needs adoption. This cause is very important to us! In 2018 my husband and I were in the middle of our own special needs international adoption journey (Bulgaria).
.
My husband, H. and I were dating when Hurricane Katrina happened in 2005. We evacuated together for the storm, and have been together ever since. We got married in Honolulu, HI in April 2018.
.
In July, 2019 we traveled to Bulgaria to bring home our daughter, Nadia. We live in New Orleans, Louisiana with our 3 fur babies Jake, Princess & Chance (two Yorkies and a Maltese) and 2 turtles.
